Yesterday I was driving my truck down the road, going about 45.
Thankfully, the road was wide open, with no other cars.
Suddenly, the engine roared, the tires chirped,
and the truck accelerated like a bat out of Hell.

The sound was deafening, the tires were screaming and my heart started to race.

I immediately looked down to make sure my floor mat hadn't gotten caught, but then I remembered that I don't have floor mats.
So, I worried that my electronic gas pedal might be malfunctioning,
until I remembered that it's a mechanical linkage.
Just then, it occurred to me that the truck was accelerating because my right foot was smashing the accelerator into the floor board,

So I just relaxed my leg and the car slowed down from the 150 mph speed.

I just wanted to warn all the other SRT -10 owners to be careful of this possible defect.
I haven't had the same problem occur in my Impala, but if the weather's nice,
I'm going to take it for a spin on an empty road, to check it for a similar malfunction.
Safety First!! If it happens in the 'Impala too,
I may have to send a letter to GM, and maybe even congress to open an investigation/Lawsuit.
